Report verification

Check that a report is genuine.

Every Fileverity report carries a unique ID. Enter it to confirm that we issued the report, see the results recorded at issue and check the examined file against it.

Printed on every page of the report, in the form FV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

What verification confirms

  • Fileverity issued a report with this ID at the time shown.
  • The results and hashes shown here are the ones recorded at issue. If a report shows a different value for any of them, it has been changed.
  • Whether an image or document file is the exact file that was examined, or a report data file (JSON) is exactly as issued, when you check it on this page.

What it does not confirm

  • It does not analyze the file again. The outcome is the result of the analysis at the time of issue.
  • It does not certify that a file is authentic or manipulated. A report records evidence to support a human decision.
  • It cannot match a different copy of the file, such as a resized, re-saved or converted version, even if the content looks the same.
  • It checks only the values shown on this page and, when you provide it, the report's data file. Customer references printed on a report are not recorded.

Fileverity keeps only this verification record. The examined file is deleted after analysis, and we do not store the full report, so keep the PDF and JSON files you downloaded when it was issued.
